INTRODUCTION

The Advanced Automobile Safety System is primarily a microcontroller based system using various sensors and detectors. The system implemented aims to reduce the road accidents in the near future caused by drunk driving. The system aims to do this by using an alcohol detector, which senses a change in alcohol gas content in the surrounding air. If a change in the alcohol level is sensed in the vehicle, it immediately locks the engine of the vehicle. This is done to prevent the intoxicated drivers from starting the vehicle. The risks of road accidents include rollovers, collisions and non-responsive drivers after impact. This leads to a lack of information relay to the hospital and police services which in turn causes delay in the help arriving and causing serious fatalities to the injured victims. To prevent this from occurring, the system aims to provide GPS data to the authorities immediately when an accident occurs. This is done with the help of a vibration sensor present in the system. Another important function of the system is the panic button. The design of this feature has been accomplished mainly by keeping the safety of women in mind. Safety of women in India has been major talking point,especially for women who travel. The number of crimes against women have drastically gone up. This is specially true for women who travel at night alone. Their safety can be enhanced by adding the panic button for all the vehicles. A single press alerts family and authorities immediately and an SOS message.

 

LITERATURE SURVEY:

The aim of our research paper is to represent our project which makes human driving safer and to overcome accidents. This project is developed by integrating alcohol sensor with Arduino board. Arduino processor ATmega328 is able to handle more functions than conventional microcontrollers. The alcohol sensor used in this project is MQ3 which to detect the alcohol content in human breath. Since sensor has fine sensitivity range around 2 meters, it can suit to any vehicle and can easily be hidden from the suspects. This project is fitted inside the vehicle. The project is designed for the safety of people sitting inside the vehicle[1].
