Abstract
In this paper, a solar illumination system. The system structure is divided into two parts. One is battery charger, which contains hybrid module, charger-discharger controller, and lead-acid battery. The other is dimming control of LED module, which contains a LED module, boost converter and controller. Average-current dimming method is used to adjust the luminance of LED module and reduced the power loss of converter. Finally, in this system, an 5W solar and a LED dimming control is implemented to verify the feasibility of the proposed system.
