Fall Detection System for Elderly with Emergency SMS & Location
📝 Abstract This project proposes an intelligent IoT-based Fall Detection System for elderly individuals that ensures timely emergency response through SMS alerts and GPS location tracking. The system employs a 3-axis accelerometer (such as the ADXL345 or MPU6050) to detect sudden changes in body movement or orientation indicating a fall. Once a fall is detected, an SMS is automatically sent via a GSM module (e.g., SIM800L) to predefined emergency contacts, including the current GPS coordinates obtained using the NEO-6M GPS module. This system ensures elderly individuals can receive immediate assistance even when they are alone or unconscious.
