Modern vehicles are increasingly equipped with advanced technologies to mitigate these risks and protect passengers during collisions. One of the most crucial life-saving innovations in automobiles is the airbag system, which rapidly deploys during accidents to reduce the impact on occupants. However, despite its effectiveness, a significant challenge remains: passengers and emergency responders often do not receive real-time alerts when an airbag is deployed, delaying critical assistance.

The "Car Safety System with Airbag Notification" project aims to address this gap by integrating sensor-based accident detection with an instant notification mechanism. This system is designed to monitor the vehicle's movement and collision force using accelerometers or vibration sensors. When a sudden deceleration or impact is detected beyond a predefined threshold, the airbag is deployed, and the system simultaneously sends a real-time notification to predefined contacts or emergency services via GSM or IoT-based communication modules.

This intelligent safety solution not only enhances occupant protection through traditional airbag deployment but also ensures timely medical assistance, which can significantly improve survival rates in serious accidents. The system can be further integrated with location-tracking features like GPS to provide the exact accident site to rescuers.

The development of this project involves a combination of microcontrollers (like Arduino or Raspberry Pi), accelerometer sensors, GSM modules, GPS modules, and buzzer/LCD alerts, making it a reliable, real-time monitoring system for enhanced vehicle safety. By bridging the gap between accident occurrence and emergency response, the system serves as a critical upgrade to existing car safety technologies.
