The increasing demand for accessible, remote, and intelligent healthcare solutions has led to the development of innovative systems that combine automation, sensing technologies, and wireless communication. One such innovation is the Virtual Doctor Robot—a smart robotic system designed to assist in patient identification, vitals monitoring, and preliminary health assessment without the immediate presence of medical staff.

This project utilizes an Arduino Mega microcontroller as the central control unit, capable of handling multiple sensors and modules simultaneously. The robot is equipped with biomedical sensors such as a heartbeat sensor and a SpO₂ sensor to monitor vital signs like pulse rate and blood oxygen level. These parameters are crucial for diagnosing various health conditions, especially in emergencies and for patients with chronic diseases.

To ensure accurate patient identification, the system includes an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) module, allowing users to scan their RFID cards to access personalized health monitoring. The robot receives commands and sends health data wirelessly via a Bluetooth module, which connects it to a mobile app or remote system for real-time monitoring by healthcare professionals.

An LCD display is integrated to show patient details and live sensor readings, making it easy for users and nearby staff to view results instantly. The DC motors are used to provide mobility to the robot, allowing it to autonomously move to patients in different rooms or navigate within a hospital or clinic environment.

By integrating automation, wireless communication, and vital sign monitoring, the Virtual Doctor Robot serves as a valuable tool in remote health screening, elderly care, and emergency medical response. This project demonstrates the convergence of embedded systems, robotics, and IoT in building smart healthcare assistants for the future.
