ABSTRACT

The recent surge of COVID-19 pandemic has affected all spheres of our daily life. While virologists are desperately seeking solutions for an early vaccine, a cross-disciplinary approach has become of paramount importance to develop adequate monitoring, to explore the state-of-the-art and out-of-the-box IoT solutions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic by incorporating IoT-based smart solutions. Such solutions can range from IoT-based industrial production of ventilation units, masks and other medical equipment to monitoring patient conditions at hospitals or self-isolation at home in a secure manner, developing new techniques for passive. An automatic hand sanitizer dispensing machine is automated, non contact, alcohol based hand sanitizer dispenser, which finds its use in hospitals, work places, offices, schools and much more. Alcohol is basically a solvent, and also a very good disinfectant when compared to liquid soap or solid soap; also it does not need water to wash off since it is volatile and vaporizes instantly after application to hands. It is also proven that a concentration of >70% alcohol can kill Corona virus in hands. Here, an IR sensor senses the hand placed near it, it is used as a microcontroller, which senses the distance and the result is the pump running to pump out the hand sanitizer. For maintaining distance used to sense the distance by ultrasonic sensor, distance is near buzzer alert will give, face mask detection using image processing with python, when mask not weared then motor will not operate, And sense the body temperature using ir temperature sensor, patient health check up will be done with temp sensor and pulse sensor, few data will be stored into cloud.

INTRODUCTION

2019 Novel Corona virus Disease (Covid-19) is the global pandemic that has become big concern for many nations around the world. The Covid-19 common symptom is fever which is able to be detected using infrared thermometer. This type of thermometer that is widely used can be a high potential exposure to the virus since it was used within close distance. Since the virus outbreak is happened in most of region in the world, a reliable device is highly demanded to measure the Covid-19 infectee in the crowds who has fever. Thermal imaging offers a great advantage of real time two-dimensional temperature measurement. With modern technology, a single image may contain several temperature points, recorded in a fraction of a second. Hence, this research proposes a low-cost system to detect the Covid-19 symptom in the crowd rapidly since it covers wider area based on IoT technology. Furthermore, the proposed system is able to capture the detected temperature using Thermal module and detect face using optical camera. Sanitization means cleaning or sterilizing an object or body part like hands or whole body. Sanitization can be done in many ways including UV Sanitization, Soap Sanitization, Alcohol Sanitization, and Bleach Sanitization and so on. Of the above methods, alcohol was found to be more useful for human beings since it is harmless on skin surface, vaporizes easily and kills most of the viruses, bacteria, and also removes dirt in our hands. Alcohol may be expensive for mass scale sanitization of buildings or rooms and a major disadvantage is that, alcohol is highly inflammable and requires careful storage to avoid catastrophe. Alcohol also makes hands dry since it absorbs moisture, and hence also needs addition of moisturizers. Alcohol based hand sanitizers are also provided with antiseptic disinfectants like Chlorohexidine Gluconate.
